ZooTram Tours

Need help getting around? Or perhaps you just want the VIP experience. Either way, our ZooTram tours are a great way to see the Zoo while our trained guide tells you everything you need to know about the animal residents and spacious grounds. General Information about this Experience

  • Tours run approximately 90 minutes and visit all public areas of the zoo 
  • The cart can hold 10 passengers comfortably 
  • Tour season begins in April and goes through October. However, special requests may be made all year round. Special request and group tours must be booked at least 2 weeks in advance
  • Availability is not always guaranteed and depends on events, other zoo activities, and severe weather conditions. 

Single Riders: $20 per person

  • Includes all day admission and one spot on the tour
  • Save $2 when you are a zoo member, a senior (ages 55+), or a member of the military (must have a valid ID)

Reserve an Exclusive ZooTram Tour: $200 per tour

  • Includes all day admission and the entire ZooTram for just you and your group
  • Nonprofits save $25


Here are the current suggested weekly spots for March-May. Please note that the tram does not run unless a spot is reserved ahead of the tour date. Always call ahead to book. Payment is due upon booking.

Sundays - Start Time 10:30am

Mondays - Start Time 12:30pm

Tuesdays - Start Time 12:30pm

Fridays - Start Time 12:30pm

To Reserve your Tour

Please email guestservices@zoomontana.org or call (406) 652-8100 ext. 221 with the following information:

  • Group/Family Name
  • Requested tour date
  • Contact person’s name, phone number, email address, and postal code
  • Number of passengers you will have and the age group of each passenger according to the following groups: Seniors (55+), Adults (16-54), Children (3-15), Infants (2 and under)

In the event of severe weather, all attempts of rescheduling will be made. If rescheduling is not feasible, a full refund will be issued. A full refund for any reason is available up to 14 days prior to the tour. Please note that no amount will be refunded for a no show.
