Rocket has shed his velvet and is now in rut which is the most active time of year for him. On Sunday, Sept 30, he was tossing dirt over his back, playing with logs on his antlers, and rolling on his back on the ground. It's a great time of year to come out and enjoy our animals!
ZooMontana is pleased to announce that we have received AZA Accreditation through 2010! Travis Goebel, Living Collections Curator, and Jackie Worstell, Executive Director, travelled to Philadelphia to attend the AZA Hearing on ZooMontana's accrediation. After the successful hearing, they also visitied the Philadelphia Zoo, which is the nation's first zoo.

October 13th-15th the trails that are currently not paved will begin preparation for paving. The Asia trail will be closed to the public on Oct 17-19th for paving by Blacktop Inc.
Let the zoo know if you would like to help them prepare the trails on October 13th-15th.
Zoofari totals thus far are showing that it was another great success for the zoo and we want to thank each and every one of you for putting in the extra effort to make it such a great event. Thank you so much to everyone that spent their time and money supporting the zoo!

The zoo will be closing early on Saturday, September 8th for Zoofari. Admissions will close at 2pm and grounds at 3pm.
