ZooMontana will once again “light” up the holidays by presenting ZooLights, Billings’ only drive through holiday light display. Instead of taking a “walk on the wild side,” community members can take a “drive on the wild side!” Cars, trucks and buses will be able drive through a section of the Zoo so the passengers can enjoy the beautiful holiday light display while listening to the ZooRadio!

Admission: $10 per car, $15 per van and $20 per bus.

Zoo members receive $2 off admission

ZooLights Wagon Rides

This Christmas season enjoy a traditional horse drawn wagon ride with Elk River Outfitters as you experience ZooLights at Zooelk-river-parade9-1Montana.  The wagons seat approximately 16 people and are pulled by a team of working draft horses.  Bring your group and fill the wagon or join others as you see the lights and enjoy a festive evening.

Rates: $12.95 for adults, $6.95 for children 12 and under, and free for kids 3 and under.

Reservations are recommended!  Tickets can be purchased here!

Zoo Year – A Noon New Year’s Eve Celebration

Join us as we help the little ones celebrate the New Year under the EEC ZooPavilion.  Dress warm!. Mountain Mudd will be selling hot coffee and other refreshments. The event will include crafts and activities for kids and a ball dropping and celebration toast (apple juice) at Noon. Guests can visit with the animals and they are welcome to bring sleds and enjoy some snow-filled fun on the hills in the Bison Field near the zoo’s Homestead House.
The zoo will be open regular hours, 10am to 2pm, so guests can come early and stay after the event to enjoy the zoo. It is a regular Zoo admission day and free for members. Noon Year’s Eve is sponsored by Pepsi-Cola Bottling Company.

Learn about a different featured animal each month!  Join our Education Specialists for an animal story, a craft or activity, and an up close encounter with a Zoo resident right in our classroom!   Plus, after class, stay and enjoy the Zoo!

 

What:
“Mommy/Daddy and Me” zoo class… but any adult is welcome to join in the fun!
Who:
2 – 3 year olds and their accompanying adult
When:
Classes are held on the second Thursday of each month,  9:30 – 10:15 am
Cost:
$16.95 per ZooTot participant (Includes admission to the Zoo for one accompanying adult.)  Add on ONE additional participant for an additional $4.95

Breakfast With the Animals – Laughing Kookaburra

Experience the Zoo During the Early Morning Hours!

Come as a family and join us for a light breakfast followed by an up close encounter with one of our Education Ambassador animals!  Find out about animal diets and what, and how, we feed our animals here at the zoo.  Then, enjoy early-bird access to the zoo before we open the gates to our guests for the day.  You may even catch some of our animals enjoying their breakfast snacks when they first enter their yards!

*Breakfast will include cold cereals and milk, juice, fresh fruit, granola bars, and either doughnuts or muffins.

 

What:
Family or group program.  Breakfast, animal encounter, and early-bird zoo admission.
Who:
Families or groups with children age 4+ with at least one accompanying paying adult. (Maximum of 16 participants for each session.)
Where:
At the zoo in our EdZOOcate Place multimedia classroom.
When:
One Saturday of each month.
Time:
9:00 am breakfast followed by animal encounter, 9:45 am early bird access to the zoo. (Prior to 10:00 am gate opening.)
