Breakfast with the Animals

Come as a family and join us for a light breakfast followed by a fun activity and an up-close encounter with one of our Education Ambassador animals! Find out about animal diets and what, and how, we feed our animals here at the zoo. Then, enjoy early-bird access to the zoo before we open the gates to our guests for the day. You may even catch some of our animals enjoying their breakfast snacks when they first enter their yards! Advanced registration required.

*Breakfast will include cold cereals and milk, juice, fresh fruit, granola bars, and either doughnuts or muffins.

 

What:
Family or group program: Breakfast, educational activity, animal encounter, and early-bird zoo admission.
Who:
Families or groups with children with at least one accompanying paying adult. (Maximum of 20 participants for each session.)
Where:
At the Zoo in our EdZOOcate Place classroom.
When:
The 2nd Saturday of each month from Fall-Spring.
Time:
9:00 am breakfast followed by animal encounter, 9:45 am early bird access to the zoo. (Prior to 10:00 am gate opening.)
Cost:
Includes program plus early-bird full day Zoo admission
Members: $7 per person
Non-members: $12 per person

Sam & Friends Meet & Greet @ ZooMontana

How would you like the opportunity to meet Sam the otter up close and personal? Well now you can, with the Sam and Friends Otter Meet and Greet! Enjoy a 30-45 minute program that includes an otter training session, interpretive program and a visit from 1-2 of Sam the Otter’s best friends! Limited to 10 guests and held on Wednesday and Sundays at 10:45am.

– $30 per person and includes admission ($20 for members)

– Participants must be at least 4 years old to participate. All
participants under 16 years of age must be accompanied by a
participating adult. Guests under the age of 18 must have a
program liability waiver signed and dated by their parent or legal
guardian.

– Reservations are available on a first come, first served basis and
times are subject to change. Reservations are required.

– Please check-in to the Admissions desk by 10:30am for the Meet
& Greet. The program will begin promptly at 10:45am.

– ZooMontana does not guarantee the length of this meet and greet,
it is up to the animal’s and the trainer’s discretion.

– Photos are permitted during the session and all attempts will be
made to get a group photo.

– Guests must remain seated throughout the encounter.

– Otters are sometimes too curious for their own good, so for your
own safety, please wear closed toed shoes to the meet and greet.

– Petting of the Otter is prohibited.

– ZooMontana reserves the right to modify, cancel and/or
reschedule the program. Reasonable accommodations will be
made to reschedule guests as effectively as possible or provide
refunds.

– Guests with special needs must call prior to making a reservation
at 406.652.8100. Reasonable special needs accommodations can
be supported on a case-by-case basis with prior notification.

Wagon Rides at ZooLights

This Christmas season enjoy a traditional horse drawn wagon ride with Elk River Outfitters as you experience ZooLights at ZooMontana.  There will be two wagons going that seat  approximately 16 people and are pulled by a team of working draft horses.  Bring your group and fill the wagon or join others as you see the lights and enjoy a festive evening.

Rates: $12.95 for adults, $6.95 for children 12 and under, and FREE for kids 2 and under.

Reservations are recommended!  Tickets can be purchased here!

If the ride is cancelled due to weather, Elk River Outfitters will try their best to reschedule your ride.

ZooMontana will once again “light” up the holidays by presenting ZooLights, Billings’ only drive through holiday light display. Instead of taking a “walk on the wild side,” community members can take a “drive on the wild side!” Cars, trucks and buses will be able drive through a section of the Zoo so the passengers can enjoy the beautiful holiday light display while listening to the ZooRadio!

Admission: $10 per car, $15 per van and $20 per bus.

Zoo members receive $2 off admission!
